Privacy

This notice describes the current public version of Daylight Check.

Updated October 11, 2026

Your city selection

The app saves the identifier of your selected city in your browser’s local storage so it can remember it on your next visit. It stays there until you clear the site’s data. The app does not request your device’s precise location.

Daylight calculations run in your browser using the city you choose. Selecting a city or moving the timeline does not send an analytics event in the current version.

Hosting and security

The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. Serving a page involves processing technical information such as your IP address and browser request details. Hosting providers may process this information for delivery, operation and security under their own policies.

Cloudflare may set security cookies, including __cf_bm, to identify automated traffic. See Cloudflare’s cookie documentation and privacy policy, and OpenAI’s privacy policy.

Fonts

We load typography from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to request the font files, which exposes technical request information such as your IP address. Read Google Fonts’ privacy information.

Advertising and visitor analytics

No Google AdSense advertising or Google Analytics tracking code is currently installed. We will update this notice when these services are introduced and provide applicable consent controls before enabling them.

Your choices

You can remove the remembered city by clearing Daylight Check’s site data in your browser. Browser settings also let you manage cookies. External links open websites with their own privacy practices.
